Many people may feel overwhelmed or unsure about how to take action on issues they care about. They may also struggle to find reliable sources of information or feel disconnected from larger organizations that work on these issues.
The UCA design proposes a range of solutions to help people educate themselves and take action on the issues they care about. The website emphasizes user-generated content, community involvement, and transparency, with features that allow users to contact their representatives and get involved in community action. Additionally, the UCA design includes a social media strategy that makes it easy for users to share information on important issues with others. The projects design is the result of extensive research on how people interact with issues, down to the choice of yellow as the main brand color to avoid political association, and the colors for each section being chosen based on their relevance to each issue. By combining these features, the UCA design hopes to empower individuals to make a difference in their communities and beyond.
