Many people don't understand ranked choice voting and may feel intimidated by political jargon. Traditional educational materials may be difficult to read or hard to access, which can further discourage engagement with the topic.
To create a more accessible resource, I designed "WTH Is Ranked Choice Voting," a concise and visually engaging zine that breaks down the concept of ranked choice voting in an easy-to-understand way. The minimalist black and white design and use of a single sheet of paper make it easy to print and distribute, while the addition of an innovative AR component bridges the gap between traditional print media and newer digital technology. The interactive voting feature encourages reader engagement and empowers them to take an active role in shaping the future of our democracy. Overall, the zine is a powerful tool for educating and empowering individuals to engage with political issues in a more accessible and engaging way.
